The former residence of celebrities is a valuable resource and prominent advantage of the region,which has an impor-tant the influence on the inheritance and the cultivation of national culture and the construction of urban cultural brand.The former residences of celebrities in Wuxi are scattered everywhere,but the situation of activation and utilization is uneven.This paper takes the former residences of celebrities as the research object,studies and analyzes the open utilization of different types of former resi-dences of celebrities in Wuxi through literature analysis and field investigation,and takes Qian Zhongshu's former residence as an ex-ample to elaborate its display and utilization status from the aspects of exhibition improvement,space optimization,function superpo-sition,cultural and tourism integration,etc.It is proposed to encourage the extensive participation of social forces,strengthen the re-search and interpretation of the cultural connotation of celebrities,promote the diversified integration of"cultural relics +"and other strategies and suggestions,so as to revitalize heritage resources,nourish and protect inheritance with rational use,and rejuvenate the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
