The Continuity and Recognition Construction of Chinese Filial Piety Culture in Japan
This article explores the different manifestations of filial piety culture in different social forms in Japan, pointing out the characteristics of filial piety culture in Japan and the contemporary challenges it faces. The article first outlines the origin of Japanese filial piety culture and the process of inheritance and identity construction in various eras such as the aristocratic, samurai, and commoner eras.Filial piety was a moral norm in the aristocratic era.In the samurai era,the expression of"filial piety"tended to be more focused on the"loyalty"that condensed national consciousness, and was mainly reflected in the"transfer of filial piety to loy-alty".In the civilian era,"filial piety"evolved into the idea of"loyalty to the emperor",which was once misused by the ruling class.Due to changes in family structure, the essence of filial piety culture has changed in modern Japanese society, but it still plays a posi-tive role in aspects such as family elderly care. The dissemination of Chinese filial piety culture in Japan has not only achieved"going out"of filial piety culture, but also truly"going in",and has become a part of Japan's unique culture.
