Dramatic Conflict has always been a very important topic in theatre education and for acting students.As Irish play-wright George Bernard Shaw once said,"No conflict,no drama."Since the Ancient Greek period to the Renaissance period to modern days,Dramatic Conflict has been an important topic for the foundation of theatre performance.Conflict may manifest as external or internal.External conflict consists of two types:Character vs.Character(s)and/or Character vs.Nature.Internal conflict is the struggle that occurs in the mind of the main character,in other words,Character vs.Self.This paper will discuss the above-mentioned aspects of Conflict of Dramaturgy with first hand acting experience and knowledge from literature works.
