African Americans have developed a unique and popular culture,covering street dance,graffiti,and Hip-Hop/Rap music,a genre created,popularized,and mostly performed by the said group.In Hip-Hop/Rap music,it can be noticed that African American artists will directly use"nigger"in their songs.However,"nigger"is one word endowed with obvious cultural and racial characteristics,a taboo offensive to African Americans.Even-Zohar's Polysystem Theory can help analyze why the phenomenon exists and what it will cause,thus achieving a better understanding of world culture.
