A Study on C-E Translation Strategies of Culture-Loaded Words in Southwest China from the Perspective of Systemic Functional Linguistics—Taking the Translation of Xiangli Culture as an Example
As a part of Chinese culture,the quality of publicity and translation of Xiangli culture's related materials has a signifi-cant impact on whether we can tell Chinese stories well.There are many cultural loaded words in the historical materials of Xiangli culture,and how to translate them appropriately is a problem that translators must consider.This article starts from the perspective of interpersonal meta in systemic functional linguistics and discusses the translation strategies of cultural loaded words through specific cases.It flexibly applies literal translation,free translation,and transliteration annotation methods,striving to find the best translation method.This study aims to improve the translation quality of texts related to Xiangli culture,provide reference for the translation of cultural loaded words,and through this study,enhance the understanding of Chinese culture among countries around the world and promote Chinese culture to go global.
