This paper aims to explore the application of"Chinese elements"in cross-cultural art communication.It is found that Chinese elements refer to the external tangible and internal intangible material carrier of Chinese cultural environment,which repre-sents the Chinese national spirit with distinctive nationality,diversity,inheritance and inclusiveness.In cross-cultural art communica-tion,the application of Chinese elements should follow the principles of rejecting labeling,preventing paranoia and adhering to inno-vation.Rejecting labeling means that Chinese elements should not be simply regarded as symbols for simplification and classification,but should fully reflect their diversity and complexity.Preventing bigotry means not ignoring the peculiarities of other countries and cultures because of the prevalence of Chinese elements,maintaining an open mind and engaging in pluralistic dialogue.Adhering to innovation means constantly innovating in the process of disseminating Chinese elements,focusing on the combination of contempo-rary art and cultural forms to adapt to the changing cross-cultural environment.Based on this,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the application of"Chinese elements"in cross-cultural art communication from the perspectives of clothing,film,architecture,music and dance,in order to provide references for promoting the application of Chinese elements in cross-cultural art communication.
