Both Chinese and Kazakh are indispensable and important components of our national language and culture.Nouns contain strong national beliefs and characteristics,showing unique ideas and customs.When translating Chinese proper nouns into Kazakh,we should not only pay attention to the lexical meaning expressed in Chinese,but also conform to the grammatical category of Kazakh.Based on this,this paper mainly analyzes the translation methods of common pers onal names,land and water nouns and proper nouns of group departments in the Kazakh edition of Xinjiang Daily from August to October 2023 with examples,and briefly discusses their application in practical problems.This paper analyzes the translation methods of common types of proper nouns in Chi-nese,in order to help learners better understand and master the translation methods and skills of special nouns in Chinese,and make a more correct choice in the actual process of translation between Chinese and Kazakh.
