A Literature Review of Domestic Studies on Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper
The Yellow Wallpaper is a very famous short story and a feminist classic by American writer Charlotte Perkins Gilman.The story still has its influence on today's society,and domestic scholars have shown long-lasting interest in it.Based on a comprehensive analysis of about 260 papers from CNKI,this paper reviews some authoritative,representative and illuminating studies,focuses on critics'different perspectives,and hopes to find possible space for further study.All studies reviewed will be roughly clas-sified into four groups:thematic study,stylistic and narratological study,psychoanalytic study and comparative study.
