Research on Translation Strategy of Chinese Translation—Taking Female Description as an Example
The Izu Dancer is a famous early novel by Yasunari Kawabata,which mainly focuses on innocent love stories,and the unique female characters are also worth studying.This article selects Ye Weiqu's Chinese translation of The Izu Dancer as the re-search object,and combines the three core concepts of variability,negotiation,and adaptation in adaptation theory.Based on contex-tual selection and adaptation,structural selection and adaptation,it studies some examples of female descriptions in the translation of The Izu Dancer.It classifies and studies vocabulary and word order in the object of language structure;in the context,the translator,based on understanding the original text and combining it with culture,analyzes the historical background,social rules,and the inner world reflected by the characters in the original text,and selects a translation that is suitable for expressing the original text.This ex-plores how the translator can achieve better translation results by choosing and adapting to the translation process.
