Chinese environmental news media need to adhere to the unity of propaganda and professionalism:they must adhere to both Marxist view of Journalism and scientific reporting.Propaganda is a requirement for journalists,while professionalism is a re-quirement for the special skills of environmental journalists.Excellent environmental journalists should achieve the unity of propagan-da and professional aspects in environmental news reporting.On the one hand,improving the propaganda nature of news,adhering to the Marxist view of journalism,cultivating oneself with party spirit,and deliberating the discourse power through propaganda;on the other hand,respect the laws of news dissemination and provide timely,accurate,objective,and fair reporting on environmental issues.Based on environmental issues,we need to find breakthroughs and guide public opinion from the perspective of environmental protec-tion and ecology.
