Ethnic Culture Inheritance and Innovation in Tourism Souvenir Design—Taking the Palace Museum as an Example
This article provides an in-depth analysis of the inheritance and innovation of ethnic culture in the field of tourism souvenir design.It is believed that cultural inheritance is the lifeline for the continuation of national culture from generation to gener-ation,reflecting the sum of a nation's historical accumulation and the framework of spiritual pursuit.In this process,design innovation plays a crucial role in connecting the past and present,by deconstructing and reconstructing traditional cultural symbols,making them shine with vitality in the context of modern society.The article focuses on analyzing the strategy and path of the Palace Museum in transforming its cultural elements into innovative products based on core cultural resources.Based on case studies,this study proposes three core strategies for the design of ethnic cultural tourism souvenirs:deeply exploring cultural heritage and forming systematic cog-nition;using modern design vocabulary for cultural re coding;clarifying market positioning and differentiate brand building.The inte-gration and application of ethnic cultural elements in tourism souvenirs require the inheritance and respect of traditional culture,as well as the innovative transformation of modern design,in order to achieve a dual harvest of cultural identity and commercial benefits.
