Visualizing the Invisible Translators from Hebei Province in Translation Dictionaries
The study of regional culture contributes to the shaping of regional spirit,while the study of regional translation history is beneficial to the study of regional culture.This article tends to visualize the invisible translators from Hebei province by exploring the scattered documents in the published translation dictionaries about their hometown distribution,language background,professional field,etc.It is proved that the construction of translators group image is decided by their geographical flowing,personal identities,working languages,training institutions,publication resources and research interests.This article aims to raise the awareness of the study of translators from Hebei Province in order to extend the multiple perspectives in the Hebei regional culture research from a glimpse of Hebei's translation history behind the translators there.
