Exploration on Reading Promotion Strategy in University Libraries from the Perspective of Aesthetic Education—Taking the Library of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies as an Example
University library should not only provide high-quality information services for scientific research and professional ed-ucation,but also be an important practice base for implementing general education,especially aesthetic education.In recent years,the library of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies(hereinafter referred to as"Guangwai Library")has paid special attention to the aesthetic education at school,adhered to the concept of promoting reading by aesthetic education and educating people with culture,and enhanced the aesthetic taste of college students through the rational delivery of well-designed library aesthetic education informa-tion resources,so as to stimulate their ability to enjoy beauty,appreciate beauty and create beauty,and strive to improve their com-prehensive quality.In order to achieve this goal,Guangwai Library takes the consultation and promotion department as the core,through team building,creating a multi-channel publicity platform,building an overall visual communication system,and holding a series of aesthetic education reading promotion activities,so as to enhance the aesthetic education function of the university library in a targeted manner,so that the reading promotion work of the library has formed its own distinctive characteristics in universities in Guangdong Province.
