For the past 20 years,the academic community on village governance in central China has been sticking to field research,extracting experience and theory from rural practices,thus dubbed as Central China rural school by the academia.Abundant studies have revealed that,one problem of the current Chinese social science research lies in the dialogue-style research method with overemphasis on small circle,by which the practice of Chinese modernization has been presented as fragmented experience,unable to catch the panorama of Chinese experience.Consequently,the social science research can neither respond to chal-lenges in Chinese modernization practice,nor extract a general theory from Chinese practice.To get out of current predicament,it is necessary,highlighting the subjectivity of Chinese social science,to establish a grand social science cycle of discovering problem through Chinese modernization practice,resolving it and testing in practice again.Only by truly taking root in field research,cultivating researcher's experience texture and problem consciousness through saturated experience training,and absorbing theoretical nutrition from the great Chinese modernization practice,can we truly establish a Chinese social science with subjectivity.
