The research on wind-induced responses of transmission line system with HRUCs was actively carried out.The analytical model of HRUC was established using cable elements at first and then analytical model and equilibrium e-quation of a transmission line system with HRUC were established using the nonlinear finite element method.A real transmission line system in southern coastal areas was selected as an example to examine the wind resistant ability of the tower-line system with HRUCs in comparison with common conductors.The results show that the wind-induced dynamic responses of the transmission line system can be reduced using HRUC.
