In order to investigate the impact of doping various divalent ions on the properties and structure of phosphate glasses, this study focused on 44P2 O5-45Na2 O-11RO(R=Mg,Ca,Sr,Ba,Zn)glasses.The study aimed to explore the effects of different divalent ion doping on the properties and structure of phosphate glasses. The study examined the influ-ence of ion substitution on various properties of the glasses, including glass transition temperature(Tg),fragility index(m),activation energy(Ea),hardness(Hv),elastic modulus(E and G),and Poisson's ratio(v).The results revealed that, compared to other alkaline earth elements, the introduction of Zn resulted in higher Tg(596 K),lower m(34.3),higher Hv(279 kgf/mm2),E(44.2 GPa),and G(17.2 GPa)for the phosphate glasses. The study also employed Raman spectro-scopic analysis to uncover the structural origins of the effects of different divalent ion substitutions on the properties of phosphate glasses.
