In order to study the impact of underground mining on surface subsidence in a certain iron mine in Anhui Province, based on the engineering geological conditions of the mine, the probability integration method and Matlab were used to calculate the numerical range of surface subsidence caused by underground mining.A virtual simulation model of the underground mine was constructed using FLAC3D to simulate the entire mining area's ore history and future excavation and filling process. The research results indicate that the maximum values of surface tilt, curvature, and horizontal deform-ation are 1.8 mm/m,0.019 mm/m2,and 1.94 mm/m,respectively,which are all below the safety threshold of surface building protection level. The research results can provide theoretical and technical support for ensuring the safety of sur-face buildings and designing settlement monitoring systems in mining areas.
