As the wind noise caused by the upper body of vehicles is gradually being controlled, the influence of high-speed airflow under the vehicle on the interior noise of electric cars is becoming increasingly prominent. To address the heightened chassis wind noise in electric vehicles, the Large Eddy Simulation(LES)method was employed.By analyzing the flow field structure and surface fluctuating pressure levels in the chassis area, the research investigates the sources of high-speed airflow noise. The results show that the wheel area in the underbody becomes the main source of wind noise in electric cars.Adding wind deflectors and side skirts to the underside of the vehicle is an effective way to reduce wind noise intensity from the underbody of electric cars.
