In order to realize automatic optimization of ship form in ship,how to realize full parameter expression of ship form with fewer parameters is one of the key technologies.In order to improve the efficiency of optimal design,a fast and efficient ship shape optimization method based on geometric characteristic parameters is proposed in this paper.NURBS technology was used to express hull curves and surfaces,parametric design method was used to realize the full parametric modeling of Series 60 ship through programming,geometric characteristic parameters were extracted according to the characteristics of the ship,and the interface program independently developed to control the deformation of the ship finally realized the parametric deformation of the ship.At the same time,taking the Series 60 ship type as the research ob-ject,integrated optimization framework(iSIGHT)was used to realize the integration of fully parametric deformation module with hydrostatic calculation module and Shipflow hydrodynamic calculation module,and the ship resistance per-formance optimization under froude number Fr=0.27 was completed with the optimization goal of minimum wavemaking resistance.And get the optimized ship shape.The results show that the wavemaking resistance of Fr=0.27 decreases,and so does the total resistance.The optimization results show that the ship shape optimization method based on geometric characteristic parameter technology can obtain a new ship shape with better resistance performance.
