A hybrid composite girder cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 1 160 m was taken as the engineering background,and the joint section of concrete box girder and steel-UHPC composite box girder was taken as the research object.Based on similarity theory,according to the principle of equal stress and the same material of the real bridge,a half-section scale model test scheme with a similarity ratio of 1∶4 was designed considering the structural symmetry.On this basis,the self-balanced loading device of the scale model was designed based on the loading conditions.The reliability of the loading device and the rationality of the design of the joint section were verified by ABAQUS finite element model a-nalysis,which provided the calculation and design basis for the scale model test.
