Thermal storage ceramic materials are the key to ensure the continuous and stable power supply.thermal storage ceramics were prepared via pressureless sintering method by using diatomite and sea shell as the raw materials. The phase composition, microstructure and properties of the thermal storage ceramics were tested by XRF,XRD,SEM and so on.The results showed that A4(60%diatomite,40%sea shell)sintered at 1 220 ℃ exhibited the optimum proper-ties,the the thermal storage density, bending strength, bulk density, apparent porosityand water absorption reached 956.1 kJ/kg(RT~800 ℃),73.72 MPa,2.48 g/cm3,0.96%and 0.40%,respectively.This study supports the thermal storage ceramics as a promising temperature thermal storage candidate.
