Preparation and performance optimization of metakaolin-based geopolymer repairing mortar for pavements
In order to make up for the shortage of traditional cement-based repair materials, the advantages of fast setting and hardening, high strength and sustainability of geopermer are used to prepare road rapid repair materials. From the point of view of mechanical properties, the road repair mortar with excellent me-chanical properties was prepared by mixing metakaolin with ordinary portland cement and using sodium sil-icate and NaOH as compound alkaline activator. The experimental conditions of sodium silicate modulus 1.5 and cement to sand ratio 0.5 were determined by orthogonal test. The effects of cement content and ex-cimer ratio on the mechanical properties of ground polymer road repair mortar at early and late stages were systematically studied by SEM tests. The test results show that when the cement content is 40%and the adhesive ratio is 0.30,the bending strength and compressive strength of the ground polymer repair mortar at 0.5 d are 3.8 MPa and 21.9 MPa respectively under standard curing conditions. At 28 days of age,the flexural strength reaches 9.7 MPa and the compressive strength reaches a maximum of 47.7 MPa.The re-search results will provide reference for the controllable preparation and performance optimization design of geopolymer road repair mortar.
