Influence of Reflective Strip Spacing in Freeway Tunnel on Car Following Behavior
According to the stimulation times of tunnel reflective strips during car-following,the corre-sponding reflective strip spacing was calculated, and 32 drivers were selected as subjects.Through UC/Win-Road,the driving simulation experiment was carried out,and the driving data were recorded under the schemes of tunnel reflector spacing of 0,280,140,100,70 and 50 m.The effectiveness of the scheme was verified by the first deceleration distance, the following distance and the lane devia-tion.The results show that, compared with before improvement, the reflective strips at different in-tervals will increase the first deceleration distance and the following distance, reduce the lane offset and improve the tunnel driving safety. However, when the distance between the reflective strips in the tunnel is too large and the stimulation times are few,the improvement effect is poor. When the distance between the reflective strips in the tunnel is too small and the stimulation times are too many,it will have a negative impact, resulting in the improvement effect of the distance and deviation is not significant.Among them, the spacing of tunnel reflective strips is 140m,and it is the most reasonable to stimulate twice, and the improvement effect of vehicle distance and offset is better.
