Study on Low Temperature Performance of Asphalt Mortar Based on Direct Tensile Test
The direct tensile test was designed to analyze the shape of the tensile curve, and the evalua-tion indexes such as elongation, tensile flexibility, residual elongation ratio and viscosity and tough-ness were put forward.Asphalt mixture was prepared by grouting molding, and its low-temperature deformation performance was evaluated based on trabecular bending test.On this basis, the rationali-ty of the low-temperature performance index of cement based on direct tensile test was verified by the correlation analysis between the low-temperature performance index of cement and the maximum ben-ding and tensile strain of mixture. The results show that the ratio of powder to binder has a significant effect on the low-temperature deformation performance of asphalt mortar. The greater the ratio of powder to binder, the more obvious the brittleness characteristics of mortar and the worse its low-temperature performance. In order to ensure the low-temperature deformation performance of cement,it is suggested that the powder-cement ratio should not be greater than 1.5.The trend of the evalua-tion index of low temperature performance of mortar based on direct tensile test with the ratio of pow-der to binder is not affected by asphalt type,so it is reasonable and feasible to evaluate the low tem-perature performance of mortar.Correlation analysis shows that elongation, viscosity toughness and toughness ratio at 0℃ are the best indexes for evaluating the low temperature performance of cement.
