Design of a Small Wind Tunnel in a Low Temperature Test Chamber and Experimental of the Icing Process
The wind speed and temperature conditions required for water freezing were provided by self-built wind tunnel equipment in low temperature laboratory,and the effects of polar wind speed and temperature on water freezing rate were studied.The results show that the icing pool has gone through two stages:overall rapid cooling and icing.In the previous stage,convection heat transfer is the main heat transfer,and the influence of wind speed is greater than that of temperature.In the lat-er stage,with the increase of ice thickness,the proportion of heat conduction gradually increased,and the influence of temperature also gradually increased.Combined with the data of temperature change and ice thickness growth,the cooling speed and icing speed are calculated,and the relationship be-tween cooling speed and icing speed and temperature and wind speed is obtained by surface fitting re-spectively.
