Numerical Study on Self-righting Stability of Amphibious Rescue Boats in Calm Water and Waves
The rolling motion of amphibious rescue boat was numerically simulated,and the self-righ-ting stability after adding self-righting structure in still water and waves was analyzed.The results show that the amphibious rescue boat can be righted when the initial heeling angle is 90° in still water,but it will capsize when the initial heeling angle is ≥130°.After adding the self-righting structure,the self-righting stability of amphibious rescue boat is enhanced.When the wave height is 2m,the am-phibious rescue boat(self-righting structure)can be righted at an initial heel of 90.
