Experimental Study on Forced Roll Intake of Damaged Twin Compartment
Based on the self-designed forced rolling motion device, the forced rolling water entry test of damaged twin compartment was completed.According to the three influencing factors of different twin compartment draught, rolling amplitude and rolling period,75 test conditions were formulated and a large number of repetitive tests were carried out. After smoothing, the time-history curve of the water depth in the twin cabins obtained by experimental measurement is consistent with the trend of the graph obtained by numerical simulation.Comparing and analyzing the graphs under all working conditions, the results show that the time required to reach the maximum water depth in the twin compartment is basically independent of the rolling amplitude, but affected by the rolling frequency, and the time to reach the maximum water depth in the second cabin decreases obviously with the in-crease of the draft in the twin compartment.
