Effect of Skew Shadowing Effect on Driver's Eye Movement at Urban Tunnel Entrance
A full-scale vehicle test was carried out in Huanglongshan Tunnel in Wuhan.Taking the du-ration and frequency of driver's gaze and the duration and frequency of glance as indicators, the chan-ging laws of ordinary road sections, shadow sections under the bridge and tunnel entrance sections were analyzed, and a driving load evaluation model was constructed to evaluate the tunnel entrance ar-ea.The results show that the duration of driver's gaze and glance in the shadow section under the bridge is generally longer than that in the ordinary section, but lower than that in the tunnel entrance section, while the frequency of gaze and glance shows an opposite trend. When there is shadowing effect in front of the tunnel entrance area, the dispersion of visual indicators increases. The first shad-owing effect will make the driver's visual index change greatly in a short time, and the continuous shadowing effect will make the driver's eye movement behavior tend to be bad gradually. The appear-ance of the black hole effect at the entrance of the tunnel will lead to the sudden change of visual indi-cators,and the shadowing effect and black hole effect will significantly increase the driving load.
