Influence of Insufficient Exit Lanes on the Efficiency of Through Traffic at Signalized Intersections
Based on the measured data of 19 signalized intersections with insufficient exit lanes in Wu-han,the traffic conditions and influencing factors of through traffic were analyzed, and a traffic effi-ciency analysis model based on ordered multi-classification Logistic regression was established. The results show that there is a certain downward trend and fluctuation after the dissipation rate reaches the peak after the green light is turned on.The width of the intersection has a significant impact on the traffic flow rate of the through traffic. If the width of the four-to-three intersection is less than 44m,or the width of the three-to-two intersection is less than 45m,or the width of the two-to-one in-tersection is less than 48m,the traffic efficiency is lower than that of the case where the entrance through lane is reduced by one lane. The influence of the incoming right-turn vehicles on the straight traffic flow is greater than that of the right-turn vehicles in the same direction.
