Chinese traditional thought of creation is a crystallization of wisdom condensed by ancient people in their long-term creation activities,and as one of the ideas of creation,"benefiting people"occupies an important position in the production of trad itional Chinese clothing.At present,there is still a need for in-depth research on the creation ideas contained in the structure of traditional Chinese clothing.Many novels,biographies,poems and songs,paintings,and clothing objects excavated during the Ming Dynasty provide a good opportunity to study the idea of"benefiting people"in the clothing structure of the Ming Dynasty.The article firstly summarizes the traditional Chinese idea of"benefiting people",secondly analyzes the reasons for the creation of the Ming clothing structur e,and finally selects the representative structures of the existing Ming clothing objects as the research object,combines the literature search method with the graphic and textual evidence method,and analyzes the"benefiting people"idea in the clothing structure of the Ming dynasty from the perspectives of clothing inheritance,improvement and innovation,and national integration.From the four perspectives of clothing inheritance,improvement and innovation,and national integration,we analyse the idea of"benefiting people"and it s causes in the clothing structure of the Ming Dynasty.It is hoped that through the study of the idea of"benefiting people"in the traditional construction of clothing,the development of modern Chinese clothing will be explored.
