Paiwan people headwear has a wide range of distinctive features and unique cultural connotations.The promotion of its historical,cultural and artistic values will help to explore the unique and differentiated forms of Aboriginal dress culture in Taiwan,to deepen the understanding and cognition of Paiwan people culture,arouse,match and satisfy the modern people's interest and desire to explore the traditional national costume culture,is conducive to the protection of costume intangible cultural heritage.Based on an analysis of relevant literature,on-the-spot investigations and case studies,the paper analyzes the morphological characteristics of Paiwan people's headdresses from the perspectives of colour,shape,pattern,material and technology,explore the aesthetic taste and cultural connotation of headwear.The unique symbolic meaning of the headdress in Paiwan people is closely related to the religious meaning of its people,the worship of nature and gods,and the differences in the social status and class work of the headdress.At the same time,Paiwan people's headdresses were influenced by neighboring tribes,the spread of foreign culture,and the modernization process.Its mystery and uniqueness not only attract people to explore and study the national culture,but also provide us with more opportunities to understand and appreciate the beauty of different cultures.
