Mechanism and Path of Narrowing Urban-rural Income Gap under Digital Background
In recent years, with the rapid development and popularization of digital technology, the economic transformation under the background of digital is having a profound impact on the pattern of urban and rural development.Based on theoretical analysis, the panel data of 30 provinces from 2013 to 2021 are selected to construct a spatial Durbin model to explore the mechanism and path of narrowing the urban-rural income gap under the background of digitalization. The research results show that:(1)the development of digital economy obviously brings negative spatial spillover effect, which has an impact on the urban-rural income gap;(2)Improving the level of digital economy in the region will not only help to narrow the urban-rural income gap in the region, but also reduce income inequality in the surrounding areas;(3)The impact of digital economy on urban-rural income disparity shows regional differences;(4)With the improvement of industrial collaborative agglomeration and marketization level, the narrowing degree of urban-rural income gap will weaken under the background of digitalization.
