Argentina is the third largest economy in Latin America and a member of the G20.It is not only an important country in Latin America,but also the strategic fulcrum of the"Belt and Road Initiative"in Latin America.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations,China and Argentine have made great achievements in mutual political trust and economic and trade exchanges.However,a series of China-related remarks and measures by the new government have made bilateral relations face challenges.This article uses text analysis method to conduct a comprehensive analysis of China-related research results of Argentina's mainstream think tanks in the context of Sino-US strategic competition,in order to explore the development context of the Argentine government's policy towards China.The study found that Argentinian think tanks have both objective evaluations and misunderstandings of China-US strategic competition.Argentinian scholars recognize that China is an important opportunity for Argentina's economic development,but they have doubts about the so-called economic"dependence"and"debt trap".They even proposed that bilateral political ties should be weakened to avoid being involved in China's competition with the United States.In view of this,we should give full play to the important role of think tank diplomacy in promoting the sustained and healthy development of China-Argentina relations,publicize China's positions and views,and dispel Argentina's concerns in enhancing bilateral relations;at the same time,uphold the correct view of justice and interests and the concepts of truth,affinity and good faith,fully understand Argentina's reasonable demands for bilateral relations and enhance its strategic competitiveness against the United States.
