A simplified bounding surface constitutive model for sandy soil
Based on the bounding surface hypo-plasticity model, the relationship between the original load and the reload of the model is simplified, the model parameters are reduced, and a suitable way is provided to describe the stress path and stress-strain relationship of sandy soil under unidirectional and cyclic loads.State parameter is introduced to describe the mechanical behaviors of sandy soils with different densities by a single set of parameters.Mathematica software is then employed to carry out the unit test of the simplified boundary surface model, and compared with experimental data. The results show that the simplified boundary surface model can reasonably simulate the complex sandy soil mechanical behaviors, including the critical state of soil, the change of volumetric deformation under unidirectional and cyclic loads,stress-strain relationships and the changes of confining pressures and so on.
