Quantitative assessment of slope instability risk considering soil heterogeneity
Based on Monte Carlo simulation and random field methods, inversion of different failure modes of slope under soil non-uniformity conditions is carried out,and a quantitative risk evaluation method for slope failure considering soil non-uniformity is proposed in the study.Compared with the uniform soil slope, the landslide area, critical slip surface and factor of safety of the soil non-homogeneous slope are all uncertain, thus, the soil non-uniformity has a significant effect on the failure mode and stability of slope.By calculating the sliding area of a two-dimensional slope,a landslide risk assessment index considering multiple failure modes is proposed, which can provide a certain technical basis for quantitatively evaluating the landslide risk and mitigating landslide disasters.
