Arthroscopic Bankart repair in treatment of recurrent anterior shoulder instability caused by training injury
Objective To explore the clinical effect of arthroscopic Bankart repair in the treatment of recurrent anterior shoul-der instability caused by training injury. Methods From January 2017 to June 2022,46 patients(49 shoulders)with recurrent anterior shoulder instability caused by training injury were selected for arthroscopy Bankart repair. The function of shoulder joint was evaluated by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores(ASES),Rowe scores, forward elevation, abduction and external rotation. The joint function scores, the shoulder range of motion, the incidence of anchor detachment and the incidence of postoperative joint re-dislo-cation were compared before and after surgery. Results The ASES scores after operation(87.3±5.7)was significantly different from that before operation(52.2±9.5)(P<0.05).The Rowe scores after operation(95.2±4.9)was significantly different from that before operation(46.6±6.4)(P<0.05).The incidence of anchor detachment was 4.1%(2/49),and the recurrence rate of anterior instabili-ty of the shoulder joint was 6.1%(3/49).Compared with the pre-operation,no significant change was found regarding forward eleva-tion(168.7°±2.4°),abduction or external rotation(72.8°±3.3°).Conclusions Arthroscopic Bankart repair surgery in the treat-ment of shoulder joint anterior instability caused by military training injuries has the advantages of minimal trauma and low recurrence rate, which can effectively improve shoulder joint function.
