In this paper,we summarized the hot spots and frontiers of the research on grain supply chain at home and abroad since 2019 in the three fields of grain supply chain management,grain supply chain economics,and grain supply chain finance,and comparatively analyzed the gap between domestic and foreign researches.Based on the result of the analysis,we determined the three major research orientations of grain supply chain benefit compensation,grain supply chain intelligent development,and grain supply chain high-quality development,and the eight key research subjects including cultivation of core enterprises in the grain supply chain,digital and intelligent transformation of the grain supply chain,and value addition of the grain supply chain adapted to grain saving and loss reduction,etc.Next,in light of the needs of national development,we made it clear that the research on grain supply chain was still an important research field in management and economics,and academic attention should be focused on ten critical issues including construction of benefit compensation mechanism along the grain supply chain in main production areas,and improvement of quality control and traceability of the grain supply chain to support the sustainable development of grain brands,etc.
