Research on Coupling,Coordination and Symbiosis between Logistics Industry and Regional Economy:In the Case of Zhejiang Province
With the advance of the high-quality economic development and regional integration in Chi-na,the mutual influence,interdependence and interaction between the logistics industry and the regional econ-omy is increasing.As the economy develops,the demand for logistics activities will also increase,thereby driv-ing the continuous growth of the logistics industry.Meanwhile,the development of the logistics industry will also promote the cross-regional flow of commodities,drive the development of the transportation and ware-housing industries,etc.,and further the regional economy,and constitute one of the most important factors promoting regional economic growth.In order to examine the current status and changing trends of the degree of the mutual influence between the logistics industry and the regional economy in different periods,based on a review of relevant research on this subject,we first constructed an index system to evaluate the development of the logistics industry and the regional economy,which includes 9 logistics indicators from the three aspects of logistics industry infrastruc-ture,logistics industry demand and logistics industry production,and 6 regional economic indicators from the two aspects of economic development and social life.Secondly,we used the entropy weight method to calcu-late the weight of the logistics indicators and regional economic indicators to obtain the comprehensive indica-tors,and then established a coupling coordination model to examine the coupling coordination between the logistics industry and regional economy.Next,based on existing researches,we established the symbiosis mod-el between the logistics industry and the regional economy.Finally,taking Zhejiang Province as example,by referring to the China Economic Net database and Zhejiang Province Statistical Yearbook for the 2001-2021 period,in combination with data prediction methods such as linear interpolation and moving average,and based on the logistics industry and regional economic indicators system established,we selected a total of 315 samples relating to the 15 indicators above from 2001 to 2021,and analyzed the relationship between the logis-tics industry and regional economic development in Zhejiang Province from the perspectives of coupled coor-dination and symbiosis.The results showed that:(1)In terms of coupled coordination,except for the year of 2005,the overall cou-pling level between the two showed a gradual upward trend from 2001 to 2021.The logistics industry and the regional economy began to be barely coordinated in 2011,and achieved preliminary coordination in 2014,in-termediate coordination in 2016,and good coordination in 2018-2019.In 2020 and 2021,the logistics indus-try and regional economy were basically in a highly coupled and coordinated stage.(2)In terms of symbiosis,there were three stages from 2001 to 2021:the first being 2001-2011 which is also the starting stage of the lo-gistics industry when it played a stronger role and had significant impact on economic development;the second stage being 2012-2013,when,after the logistics industry reached its maximum effect,the two became compet-itive and entered a state of reverse symbiosis;and the third stage being 2014-2021,when in the context of con-tinuous coordination between the two,they became less competitive,the mutual influence changed from neg-ative to positive,and the two were in a state of positive asymmetric symbiosis where economic development played a stronger role.At last,based on the results of the analysis,we put forward relevant suggestions for the coordinated development of the logistics industry and regional economy in Zhejiang Province.
