High-quality Development of Transportation under Perspective of Chinese-style Modernization
Viewing the high-quality development of the transportation industry from the perspective of Chinese-style modernization is not only a necessity in identifying the new positioning and strategies in the lay-out of the modern transportation industry in China,but also helps clarify the objective and direction for inte-grating the transportation industry,as well as its industrial chain and supply chain,into the processes of global-ization and opening-up,thus breaking down the institutional and systematic barriers remaining in the tradi-tional transportation sector,establishing or building a global center of the transportation industry chain with in-ternationally advanced standards,and providing Chinese wisdom and Chinese solution for higher-level poli-cy-making of the transportation industry.This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the logical connection between Chinese-style modernization and high-quality development of the transportation industry,and points out the problems existing in the pro-motion of the high-quality development of the transportation industry in the process of Chinese-style mod-ernization,including:obvious cross-regional differences in the development level of the comprehensive trans-portation system;lack of long-term awareness in effectively encouraging and attracting transportation talents,and absence of a government-led,highly market-oriented digital and intelligent transportation innovation path,etc.In view of the above issues,the overall strategy for Chinese-style modernization to promote the high-quality development of the transportation industry is proposed,including:(1)Build a solid foundation for the high-quality comprehensive transportation system.Clarify the connotation and essence of transportation mod-ernization,accelerate the formation of a safe,convenient,efficient,green,and economically effective modern comprehensive transportation system surrounding a high-quality comprehensive transportation system that meets international standards;(2)Use talent modernization as the purchase to expand the transportation econo-my.Accelerate the cultivation of a talent team that can lead digital transformation and improve the capabilities of digital application,digital management,and digital operation;(3)Lead the development of the transporta-tion industry driven by digitalization.The digital-driven development of the transportation industry focuses on networking,intelligent technology,and intelligent application.Perception,transmission,technology,and application are the areas to be focused on in the construction of the digital transportation economy.Conve-nience,intelligence,collaboration,safety,and efficiency are the current development hotspots.Data-empow-ered transportation services,government services,and travel services are the key areas to explore when launch-ing the digital transportation business;(4)Comprehensively improve the ability of transportation services to"go global".Rely on comprehensive transportation services to promote the internationalization of related busi-nesses and further to industrial internationalization,allow the Chinese transportation construction standards and transportation technology to participate in international competition,and contribute China's power to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
