Supply Chain Strategic Partner Selection Model Based on Trust
Strategic cooperation between enterprises on a supply chain is conducive to improving the competitiveness of the enterprises and achieving win-win,which makes it crucial for enterprises to choose suitable partners. In this paper, taking the supply chain strategic cooperation theory and trust theory as theo-retical support,we constructed a trust-based strategic partner selection model for a supply chain which will help determine the reliability of the partners, reduce their operating risks, and improve the success rate of en-terprise cooperation. It may also inspire the enterprises to emphasize the culture of trust and enhance their credibility.More specifically, based on historical transaction data,we systematically analyzed the factors af-fecting the trust of the supply chain enterprises, and by looking comprehensively at the interaction between direct trust and indirect trust, established the comprehensive trust assessment model for the supply chain en-terprises.First,by incorporating the Bayesian theory,we inferred the probability of successful transactions among the supply chain enterprises and, taking into account the timeliness of trust, introduced the time de-cay factor to better register the impact of recent interactions between the enterprises. In order to prevent the enterprises from malicious attempt at increasing trust,we proposed the attenuation function of transaction amount and transportation distance to avoid vicious competition, and finally built the direct trust model of the supply chain enterprises.Next, based on the Pearson correlation coefficient,we selected enterprises with sim-ilar business operations to the object enterprises of trust assessment to make the recommendation results more credible.Considering that supply chain enterprises have many transaction counterparts, complicating the information collection process and greatly increasing the data volume,we ranked the current enterprises according to the enterprise similarity value, and prioritized the top five most similar enterprises. Finally,we established the indirect trust model of the supply chain enterprises. In order to avoid the subjective bias in the setting of the model,we used the entropy weight method to assign weight to trust and to more accurately and objectively determine the impact of direct trust and indirect trust on comprehensive trust. In order to test the operability and generalization of the model and the rationality of the weight setting,we had an empirical simulation study to show that in this trust assessment model, direct trust of the enterprise has a greater im-pact on the setting of the comprehensive trust weight and on the results of the comprehensive trust degree of the trust assessment object, which further shows that as the direct trust degree increases, the comprehensive trust degree will also increase and enterprises with higher direct trust degree are more likely to achieve high-er comprehensive trust degree, thereby becoming deep-level partners. At the same time, the setting of weights can reduce result bias and subjectivity to a greater extent. The supply chain trust evaluation model established in this paper could provide reference for supply chain enterprises in strategic partner selection.
