Supply Chain Pricing and Coordination from Perspective of Consumer Participation-based Product Co-innovation
With the development of internet technology and the formation of postmodern consumption consciousness, more and more enterprises in the market prefer product co-innovation.At the same time, many consumers have the willingness to participate in enterprises'product innovation.Based on the perspective of product co-innovation,we introduced consumer participated product co-in-novation into a two-level supply chain system composed of a single manufacturer and a single retailer, and built the centralized decision-making model and decentralized decision-making model of the supply chain. Then,we compared and analyzed the impact of two variables, namely the degree of consumers'participation in manufacturer's product innovation and the ability of the manufacturer to promote consumers'participa-tion,on the pricing decision of each member of the supply chain under the two models, and adopted three coordination mechanisms of two-part tariff, revenue sharing and cost sharing to coordinate the supply chain. The result shows that the optimal price and demand of the product and the profit of the supply chain are positively correlated with the ability of the manufacturer to promote consumers'participation. When the de-gree of consumers'participation in product innovation is within a certain threshold, the optimal price and de-mand of the product and the profit of the supply chain are positively correlated with the degree of consum-ers'participation in product innovation. The three coordination mechanisms can realize the Pareto improve-ment of the supply chain, with two-part tariff having more significant supply chain coordination effect chain than the other two.Compared with previous researches, this paper has made some helpful explorations in the following two aspects:Firstly,it discussed the impact of consumer participation in product innovation on the pricing deci-sion of enterprises, and further explored the mechanism of the degree of consumer participation in innova-tion and the ability of the manufacturer to promote consumers'participation on the improvement of enter-prise profits.Secondly, different from existing studies which lean towards the motivation of consumers'par-ticipation in product innovation or the positive impact of consumers'participation in product innovation on enterprise benefits, this paper compared and analyzed the different effects of two-part tariff, revenue sharing and cost sharing on the coordination of the supply chain given consumers'participation in product innova-tion,and concluded based on the numerical simulation results that,two-part tariff has the best coordination effects out of the three, followed in order by cost sharing and revenue sharing. To a certain extent, our research clarifies the dominant position of consumers in the value creation system of a supply chain, which helps enterprises realize product innovation and better tap customer resources, and provides theoretical support for the choice of coordination mechanism in the supply chain system.
