Decision-making in Logistics Service Supply Chain Considering Corporate Social Responsibility
Rapid economic development and social progress has made sustainable development a resound-ing concept in the heart of people. The goal of long-term and stable development requires an enterprise to assume its social responsibility and feed back positively to its stakeholders,in response to which, more and more companies are actively undertaking their corporate social responsibilities(CSR).Logistics constitutes a highly relevant driving force in national economic development and logistics enterprises should coordinate the relationship with society, environment, and stakeholders, etc.,and assume CSR to achieve win-win be-tween the enterprises and society. At present, some logistics companies do not have a clear understanding of CSR,fail to actively undertake it and in exceptional cases, even shun it completely. Therefore,it is of great realistic significance to study the decision-making in a logistics service supply chain with consideration of CSR under different power struc-tures,and to encourage the logistics enterprises to actively assume their CSR and improve logistics service level. In this paper,by introducing the CSR commitment of a logistics service integrator into the study of the decision-making of a two-layer logistics service supply chain,we explored the changes in the equilibrium state of the supply chain after the integrator undertakes CSR under different power structures as well as the impact of the power structure on the decision-making of the supply chain, and determined the dominant power structure. The research finding shows that the integrator's CSR commitment will increase the logistics service level, wholesale price, market price, and demand volume in the supply chain,as well as the profit of the integrator and the supplier;and such change is consistently identified across three different power structures. When the integrator undertakes its CSR,the logistics service level,CSR commitment level, logistics demand and total supply chain profit are optimal when the two parties are equal in power.Based on the research results, the following revelations are drawn:(1)Logistics enterprises should actively fulfill their corporate social responsi-bilities.CSR commitment will not only increase logistics service level, gain consumer trust, win more mar-ket share and good reputation, but also increase corporate profits;(2)From the perspective of a participant in the two-layer logistics service supply chain,in order to maximize profits, the logistics service integrator or provider will increase their competition for dominance. However, from the perspective of long-term devel-opment of the enterprise, given no dominant power in the logistics service supply chain, for optimal service level,CSR commitment level, logistics demand and total profit of the supply chain, the logistics service inte-grator and logistics service provider can each take a step back and achieve win-win when the two parties have equal power.
