Measurement and Influencing Factor Analysis of Coupling Coordination between Manufacturing and Logistics Industries in Guangxi
In this paper,we first use the coupling coordination model to measure the level of coordinated development of the fourteen cities in Guangxi from 2013 to 2022.The result shows that the level of coordi-nated development between the manufacturing and logistics industries in all fourteen cities has improved somewhat during this period,among which Nanning and Qinzhou have the highest coupling coordination degree,being in the bracket of good coordination;however,the overall level of coordinated development of the two industries in Guangxi is relatively low,mostly being in the states of bare coordination and rudimenta-ry coordination.Next,we use the geographic detector model to study the factors influencing the coordinated development of the manufacturing and logistics industries and the interactions between them.The study shows that from 2013 to 2022,level of urbanization,transportation accessibility,regional economic strength,regional innova-tion capability,export dependency,urban fixed asset investment,natural resource endowment,and level of informatization are the drivers behind the coordinated development of the two industries in Guangxi.Among them,level of urbanization has the greatest impact,and there is double amplification effect between the factors,particularly the interaction between export dependency and other factors has extraordinary im-pact on the level of coordinated development.Based on the result of the empirical analysis,we propose that Guangxi should further open up the econo-my,clear obstacles in the large circulation channel between the domestic market and the ASEAN market,en-courage the cross-border/regional flow and efficient aggregation of resource elements,focus on improving regional logistics efficiency,and rely on the China-ASEAN Information Port to reinforce the capabilities of industrial coordination;Guangxi should push forward new rural construction to improve the level of hu-man-centered urbanization,improve the carrying capacity and service functions of the cities,and promote the coordinated development of large,medium and small cities and towns;Guangxi should accelerate green and innovative development,stimulate the innovative vitality of enterprises,focus on supporting high-quali-ty industrial development through innovation,support the high added-value and high-tech development of the manufacturing industry,and improve product quality and brand influence;Guangxi should strength the development of big data technologies for they have significant promoting effect on industrial agglomeration and technological innovation,and should improve the level of informatization to push forward the innova-tion-driven development and the construction of the modern industrial system;and,at last,Guangxi should strengthen the protection of natural resources,promote the innovation and development of the manufactur-ing industry,and improve the transportation efficiency and safety of the logistics industry.
