Research on Characteristics of Spatial Correlation between Regional Logistics and Regional Economy in Tibet
In this paper,we look into the current development situation of the regional economy in Tibet by obtaining relevant data on logistics and economic development in the region,including economic growth rate,proportion in national economy,and spatial foundation of regional economic development,etc.At the same time,we explore the current situation of the regional logistics development in Tibet,including the domi-nant position of highway in cargo transportation,change in passenger transportation ratio,growth of total retail sales of consumer goods,and formation of the comprehensive transportation network,etc.On such basis,to explore the formation mechanism of the spatial characteristics of the regional logistics system in Tibet,using multi-source data,including statistical,analytical and measured data,we calculate relevant agglomeration indi-cators and analyze the relationship between regional logistics agglomeration and economic agglomeration,as well as the spatial variation of regional logistics connection and regional economic connection.The study shows that there is a clear positive correlation between regional logistics agglomeration and eco-nomic agglomeration in Tibet,but there are temporal and spatial differences.The spatial variation of logistics connection is higher than that of economic connection,and the spatial distribution of economic connection is more balanced than that of logistics connection.This indicates that the planning and policy-making of the re-gional logistics network in Tibet need to consider these characteristics in order to promote the open and sus-tainable balanced development of the regional economy.This study proposes that Tibet needs to leverage its location characteristics to connect with the South Asia Grand Passage and the Himalayan Economic Cooperation Belt,dock with the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor,and integrate into the Silk Road Economic Belt.It should accelerate the con-nection between the Western Land-Sea New Passage and the South Asia Grand Passage,optimize the logistics system,improve operational efficiency,reduce costs,and achieve rational division of labor.Lhasa should be made the core hub city,linking important nodal cities such as Shannan,Xigaze,Nagqu,and Nyingchi,etc.to create major growth points and support points,out of which logistics center nodal cities and smooth logistics channels should be developed,providing strong support for regional economic exchanges and cooperation.
