Logistics Spatial Structure of Ningbo Metropolitan Circle and Its Evolution Characteristics
This study focuses on the logistics spatial structure and its evolutionary characteristics in the Ningbo metropolitan circle,the aim of which is to analyze the trends and features of the changes in the logis-tics spatial structure of the 23 counties(cities,districts)located in the Ningbo metropolitan circle from 2017 to 2022 using scientific methods,and to explore the key factors influencing them.The researchers employed the entropy weight method and the CRITIC weighting method to evaluate the logistics quality of the cities,quantified the strength of logistics connection between them through a modified gravity model,revealed the characteristics of the logistics spatial structure using social network analysis,and finally identified the influenc-ing factors of the logistics quality of the cities through gray relational analysis.The result of the research showed that from 2017 to 2022,the strength of logistics spatial connection in the Ningbo metropolitan circle saw a slight increase,but the overall structure changed little.The main urban area of Ningbo served as the core hub for logistics information and resources,radiating significant influence over the surrounding cities.The logistics spatial connection exhibited the characteristics of"club conver-gence",as in regions with high connection strength are primarily located in the northwest and northeast,while the relatively weaker ones are mostly in the southern part.A core-periphery structure analysis revealed that the core area is mainly composed of cities under the jurisdiction of Ningbo,while the periphery is pri-marily made up of cities under Taizhou and Zhoushan.The research also found that logistics quality is the most closely correlated with the gross domestic prod-uct,followed by export volume,total electricity consumption,retail sales of consumer goods,and sum of completed investments in fixed assets,of a city.These factors have significant impact on the improvement of the logistics quality of the city.Therefore,cities should prioritize the enhancement of gross domestic product in the process of logistics development,while also focusing on the growth of other key economic indicators.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are proposed:the leading role of core urban areas should be fully leveraged to promote the deep integration and innovation of the logistics and related indus-tries and create industry clusters with radiating capabilities;the government should strengthen support for pe-ripheral areas through fiscal preferences and targeted assistance measures,facilitating the collaborative devel-opment of the logistics industry between the cities;the cities should prioritize the construction of the logis-tics economy and develop the economy to increase GDP while protecting the ecological environment,and increase investment in logistics infrastructure and talent innovation when given sufficient resources.This research provides reference for optimizing the logistics spatial structure of the Ningbo metropolitan circle as well as other regions.
