Influence of Supply Chain Concentration on Performance of Retail Enterprises
Under the impact of the Internet,it has become an inevitable trend for retail enterprises to en-hance their competitiveness through effective supply chain strategies.Choosing an appropriate supply chain structure is directly related to the performance of retail enterprises.And,as an important feature of the enter-prise supply chain structure,supply chain concentration reflects the degree of dispersion between upstream suppliers and downstream customers,which therefore,could shed some light on the performance of the re-tail enterprises.Based on the data of 113 listed companies in China's retail industry,we used panel regression analysis mod-el to empirically study the impact of supply chain concentration on the performance of the retail enterprises,and explored the potential alting mechanism of such influence and the moderating factors in the prcess.Considering the positive effect of enterprise scales on the management of supply chain and the important role of technological innovation in each link of enterprise value chain,we focused on the moderating effect of the two factors on the influence mechanism of the supply chain concentration on enterprise performance and through an empirical analysis,demonstrated.that(1)there is a significant positive correlation between supply chain concentration and the performance of retail enterprises.In other words,retail enterprises can ef-fectively improve their performance by enhancing the degree of supply chain concentration,indicating that in supply chain management,the concentration of resources and the optimization of the relationship be-tween suppliers and customers have a positive effect on the improvement of enterprise performance.(2)The interaction between technology application and supply chain concentration has a significant positive impact on the comprehensive score of enterprise performance.Therefore,enterprises should increase investment in technological innovation and use technology to improve supply chain efficiency and performance.(3)Enter-prise scale has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between supply chain concentration and en-terprise performance,and expanding enterprise scale is conducive to improving enterprise performance.Therefore,enterprises should reasonably plan scale expansion in order to give full play to economies of scale and improve their performance and market competitiveness.
