Measurement and Research on the Socio-cultural Impacts of Tourism in Xinjiang
As the tourism industry in Xinjiang is entering a prime period of development,it is highly significant to conduct empirical research on the socio-cultural impacts of local tourism.Based on the literature review,a measurement scale of tourism in Xinjiang was formed through refining the socio-cultural impact scale developed by Dr.Tang Xiaoyun.After the test of the validity of the scale,a questionnaire was designed and used to conduct field surveys in 2023.The data were col-lected through both single-indicator measurement and semi-quantitative measurement,and then calculated by using SPSS software.The statistical results show that the positive effects of current socio-cultural impact of tourism in Xinjiang are quite significant and the impact of tourism on the process of social modernization and traditional folk culture is prominent and distinctive.
