The Practical Approach of Ideological and Political Education for Young People in the New Era
Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,the General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of im-portant statements for the growth and development of young people in the new era,drawing a new blueprint for youth devel-opment,and marking new connotations for ideological and political education of young people.He provides the fundamen-tal guidelines for training new people to take on the great responsibility of national rejuvenation through elaborating on three questions.Concerning the question"For whom should we cultivate",he proposes that we should take ideal and be-lief education,socialist core values and Chinese excellent traditional culture as the core of education.As to the question"What kind of people should we cultivate",he proposes that we should regard patriotism,endeavor,pursuit of truth and action as the goal of practice.About the question"How to train people",he proposes that we should follow the practical path of diligent study,model demonstration and practice education.
