Higher education becomes more and more important in the development of the country,and building a strong higher-education country has become an important goal of China's education course.With the arrival of the information soci-ety and the emergence of the sharp decline in China's birth rate and other situations,higher education faces the urgent need to adjust the structure,control the scale and improve the quality.This paper discusses five specific aspects in turn:optimizing the structure and layout of higher education,establishing a mechanism for eliminating universities,adapting universities as soon as possible to the social transformation of human civilization,improving the quality and level of education,and advanc-ing the internationalization process of higher education.It is crucial to understand that strengthening higher education is a long-term process,so that we can consider every aspect and work together to make China a powerhouse in terms of educa-tion,human resources and talents.
