With an important guiding and fundamental role in the strategy of rural revitalization,culture is not only the soul of rural revitalization,but also an important force in promoting the overall development of the countryside.Sports,as a cultural type with rich content,diverse forms and deep historical and national characteristics,is not only the continuation of physical existence but also the inheritance of folklore and emotion,and it even takes more important part in promoting the high-quality development of rural revitalization.Therefore,focusing on rural revitalization,this paper discusses the specific roles and significance of sports in rural revitalization such as practicing socialist core values,providing value guidance for ru-ral cultural revitalization,consolidating the ideological and cultural positions in rural areas,carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture,promoting the development of rural cultural industries,and enriching the cultural life of the coun-tryside are discussed.In addition,with the aim to accelerate the construction of rural culture through sports and to provide cultural and spiritual impetus and industrial assistance for the implementation of the strategy of rural revitalization,this paper also proposes to build a series of systems,specifically,the system for optimizing the public sports and cultural service in the countryside,the system for improving the inheritance of traditional sports and culture,and the system for constructing the development of modern sports and cultural industry in the countryside.
